Szubert (pronounced shh-u-burt, like the Austrian composer.) Our brand is dedicated to crafting clothing that embodies simplicity, elegance and sustainability.
We design with a focus on minimalist silhouettes, creating pieces that transcend trends and remain effortlessly elegant. We produce our collections in small batches, ensuring quality and reducing waste. Based in Chicago, everything is handmade and locally sourced.
The fabrics we use at Szubert are locally sourced. We try to only shop small businesses for all of our materials. 99% of our fabrics are dead-stock, resulting in limited runs of certain designs. Our goal is to keep the environment in mind with everything we do. Every year millions of yards of fabric go to waste. We take forgotten bolts, last meters and give them a second life.

These garments, often one-of-a-kind, reflect the craftsmanship and timeless appeal that define true luxury. We also make it a priority to source deadstock items — pieces that have never been worn or sold, often from past seasons, and available in limited sizes. These rare finds offer our customers the chance to own something truly unique, while also promoting the concept of circular fashion.
